Red Cliff American Bistro is a collection of regional American Poetry. I generally write form micropoetry like haiku, tanka, and sijo among other forms. However, I also write longer pieces. This collection does not have a particular theme, but like other poets I end up writing about several common interests. As time goes, I am sure patterns will emerge.

Max was raised in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for 14 years of his life. He started high school with his cousin, Eliza, and started off pretty strong in the true gospel. Everything changed when his sister, who had been diagnosed with cancer a few months earlier, had just passed away. Max thought that taking a break from everything that stressed him out would make him feel better and make it so he wouldn't go through the stages and recovery of burn out every other week. And when he thought of things that stressed him out, sadly, the church of Jesus Christ was one of them. He blocked it out of his life for the remainder of high school and college. He still kept his standards though. His 2nd cousin, Sarah, was worried about him, but treated him as the normal Max she knew those many years ago, hoping that her example might make him interested in the church of Jesus Christ again.
