But what happens when someone is a puppet for too long? What do they do when they can no longer withstand being tugged by the strings, and having words echo from their unwilling lips? For some, the answer is to distance their mind from a body that used to be theirs. For others, it is to cut the ties clean off and disappear. As for Rose Lowery, she is not only bound by slackened strings, but she is also cast aside to watch others become victims to the actions controlled by those in power. Ask yourself, what does a marionette do when they are put in front of a pair of scissors? Does it truly snip itself free and leave unnoticed? Heavens, no. A teacher lives peacefully in her boarding house with five male students, including her cousin. Over time, she notices strange things-someone watching her while she sleeps and a masked figure standing in her room. She doesn't know that her cousin, obsessed with her, is the real mastermind. He manipulates another student to scare her, but when the plan fails, he quickly acts innocent and calls the police himself. The frightened teacher locks herself in her room, while the caught student tries to expose the mastermind. However, he has no proof since he was the one wearing the mask. To cover his tracks, the cousin secretly plants hacking tools, hidden cameras, and a bulletin board full of the teacher's photos in the arrested student's room. The police believe this as evidence, leaving the accused student with no way to defend himself. In the end, as everyone thinks the danger is over, the cousin smirks and laughs in secret-he has fooled them all, and the teacher still doesn't know that the true threat is right beside her.
