Set just after the ending of Kingdom Hearts 3, Lea and Isa, the two protagonists, must learn how to rebuild their lost lives. Isa, once a vessel of darkness for the late Master Xehanort, struggles to overcome the guilt of shattering everything that he used to know, terrified of losing his new family. Lea, a retired Guardian of Light formerly pitted against his best friend, desperately attempts to raise Xion and Roxas properly, ending only in messy arguments. After so many trials and tribulations, all the small family wants to do is settle down in a cozy life. To do that, they must discover how to set aside who they used to be, and create something entirely new. Lea Kaithlynn Hope, the warrior. She lived in a small house with her two best friends, Daisy and Rain. One day, she got an important mission from the King himself. On the battlefield Sora struggles to fight against the seekers of darkness. One by one his friends begin to vanish. Not having the strength to go on he begins to give in. Only for help to come from an unexpected place. Basically this is my interpretation of the thousand heartless/nobody/unversed battle shown in the final battle trailer. So essentially no spoilers seeing as I have not seen any leaks or played the game yet.

With Ivy undercover in the CIA, and Lea undercover in SPYDER, their roles have switched. They are stuck between carrying out and stopping SPYDER's operation, and staying undercover.
