Revan, Jedi Knight, Saviour, Hero of the Republic. Those titles meant nothing now. He was no one now. On the run, hunted, the weight of failure crushing him. In hiding, he watched as the Empire rose, as the galaxy fell into darkness, as the few remaining Jedi, scattered and alone, fought a losing battle. He had failed them all. He wandered the galaxy, a broken man. The Empire's grip tightened, its tendrils of control and fear spreading ever wider. He watched as worlds fell, their populations crushed under the heel of the Emperor's boot. He knew he could do nothing to stop it. He was nothing but a failure, a shadow of his former self. He failed everybody who ever believed in him, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Padme, Riyo... and Anakin. The thought of him brought a bitter taste to his mouth. He had failed his brother. He had watched as Anakin had fallen, had become Darth Vader, had slaughtered younglings, had led the Empire to the brink of absolute dominance. And still, he felt his presence still in the galaxy, a dark specter haunting him. He found himself a backwater planet, a world far from the front lines of the war, named Deralia. It was a a remote planet approximately a hundred light years beyond the Outer Rim. The locals were a hardy, independent lot. They knew little of the galaxy beyond their own small world, and cared even less. Revan took to living among them, using the alias 'Nevar Nash' and working as a laborer and mechanic in one of the cities. He kept to himself, speaking only when necessary. He blended in with the locals, his face unremarkable and his demeanor unassuming. He found solace in the simple life they led, away from the galaxy's endless conflict. But this was the start of Revan's new journey, the solace and simple life was not to last. His old nature in protecting the innocent would be his downfall. This is post Revenge of the Sith . This story is set a couple Years after the Battle Of Must-afar . It will be from Vader 's perspective as well as Ben's . As well as other characters later on in the narrative. The story : Echoes of Destiny and Despair is the exploration of the journeys of Vader and Ben, two characters who may seem different on the surface but share striking similarities. Through their experiences, you will see me delve into themes of PTSD, anxiety, and depression, bringing a sense of realism to their separate paths . As the story unfolds, I aim to create a powerful impact by showing Ben's journey towards regaining hope, while Vader remains stagnant. It's my attempt at a thought-provoking and heartfelt narrative .
