# THE STRANGER'S UMBRELLA
That afternoon, it started raining heavily.
Minh stood outside the school gate, watching people leave one by one.
Some had parents waiting for them.
Some had raincoats.
Others carried umbrellas.
But Minh had nothing.
He stood quietly under the roof, holding his old school bag close to his chest, hoping the rain would stop.
Then, a voice came from behind him.
"Do you not have an umbrella?"
Minh turned around.
A middle-aged man was standing there, holding a black umbrella.
Minh shook his head.
The man looked at him for a moment, then held out the umbrella.
"Take it."
Minh was surprised.
"But what about you?"
The man smiled.
"I can run. You still have a long way home."
Before Minh could say anything else, the man walked out into the rain.
Minh stood there, watching him disappear into the distance.
Years passed.
Minh grew up and built a better life for himself.
But he never forgot the umbrella that a stranger had given him on that rainy afternoon.
One day, while walking home from work, Minh saw a little boy standing alone under a roof.
It was raining heavily.
The boy had no umbrella.
Minh looked at the umbrella in his hand.
Then he walked toward the boy and held it out.
"Take it."
The boy looked surprised.
"But what about you?"
Minh smiled.
"I can run."
The boy took the umbrella and happily ran home.
Minh stayed there, standing alone in the rain.
And for the first time, he truly understood something.
**Not every good thing in life needs to be returned to the person who gave it to you.**
Sometimes, you simply pass it on.
One umbrella can protect one person from the rain.
But one act of kindness...
**can become a light for many others.**
And who knows?
Maybe someday, the kindness you show today will become the reason someone else believes...
**that there is still goodness in this world.**
