Los niveles de violencia en América Latina preocupan a todos los que aspiran a tener sociedades pacíficas y decentes. Sin embargo la exclusión la falta de oportunidades y las maniobras ejecutadas por los sectores de poder económicos y políticos hacen imposible que estas sociedades se mantengan apegadas a ciertos valores. Peor, los altos índices de corrupción e impunidad para los delincuentes de cuello blanco y en los cuales se escudan los políticos que roban mucho, que aceptan soborno a cambio de facilitar grandes obras y mega proyectos a multinacionales dedicadas a corromper, hacen imposible la consecución de una paz sin realizar una profilaxis social que abarque grandes núcleos. Se ha llegado a aducir la falta de leyes para castigar a los corruptos, se inclinan hacia el descrédito de las normas con tal de garantizar impunidad, y autoridades venales caen, adrede, en el juego de quienes bajo estos subterfugios roban, roban mucho y se saben dueños de las estructuras judiciales con incapacidad para condenarlos. No obstante, las leyes son suficientes y fuertes para poner coto a la desintegración social, porque deriva de la desintegración moral. Cuando la justicia impere habrá paz; cuando los corruptos caigan, habrá sociedad. Estos ensayos recogen las normativas anticorrupción y cómo se puede conseguir la paz.
