The events of the Kingdom Hearts Saga if Sora and Kairi had been born the opposite gender. Soraya is an average tomboyish girl living on the Destiny Islands with her two best friends. Riku, who had been her closest friend her whole life (so close that they were practically siblings), and Kai, a sweet and creative boy who she had a slight crush on. One day, when Soraya was fourteen, her life changed forever when darkness invaded her home, and only she had the power to combat it. Little did she know that she was the prophesied Child of Destiny. ***I've loved Kingdom Hearts for years. I have all three main games. I've seen a couple genderbend fanfictions about it before, which were really good, but I thought I could elaborate more. Only Sora and Kairi are genderbent in this fanfiction. I do realize that Sora is a Japanese unisex name, but I associate it too much with a boy character to use it. Soraya is a Persian name that means "star cluster," which I feel fits perfectly, and Kai is a unisex name that means "sea" in Hawaiian, which also works well. Someone who fought for what was right, and protected people who couldn't protect themselves! But unfortunately life isn't a fairytale so that's why this world is so CRUEL. But believe me if Humanity stands for it, this world won't be as CRUEL as it's now. That's what I'm doing to wake up the humanity among the humankind. You'll say that The Rulers are protectors and they're always there for us, but the real bitter truth is it's not actually what it seems. Some people are terrible, and broken... BUT humanity is good.
