This will be my spot for any tags I receive. I'm a major procrastinator, so it may take a while for me to actually complete the tags.

President Nielson asked us, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, to use social media to express gratitude. I don't use any social media, but it just hit me that I can use this. I'm alo using this for other church challenges.

I've made the decision! I will write my poems and share them here. I am a Christian and a Later Day Saint (Mormon) and I have always wanted to be an artist. I want to paint and draw and sculpt the things I like and bring thought and meaning to life. I am introspective and often think creatively about what is a different perspective for things. Sometimes my poems come out 100% done except spelling and punctuation arrangements, but sometimes they are disjointed and need work. here they will be collected and brought to the masses to watch their progression over time. I will put dates at the end of each rendering for reference sake and aim to update with a new poems (part) every month or so 60 days tops. The first one is in the form of a song and prayer I'm having real difficulty with as sometimes you just don't have the words. I've called it "pandemic faith " on account of the knee jerk reaction to the insanity I've been having over the past year.

"Every true gift is a sacrifice." A fir tree, once a gift to a boy from his father, becomes so much more in this original fable backstory of one of the least described props in the traditional Nativity scene. The inspiration for this short story hit me suddenly when I saw The Christmas Tree Contest here on Penana. I started writing, and it wasn't long before I realized this was going to be a lot longer than 700 words! Anyway, this story is my contribution to #LightTheWorld, a worldwide movement to make this Christmas season a little brighter by sharing Christ's love in small ways with those around you.
