My best friend disappeared without a trace. No one knows what happened, where she is, or if she's okay.
What really happened that night? And how do you live with yourself, knowing you might have hated your best friend in her final moments?
This story follows the aftermath of a teenage girl's disappearance. The story is not build around just the mystery itself, but also explores the psychological weight it leaves behind. Told through a reflective, almost poetic voice, it explores guilt, memory, and the fragile line between love and resentment.
Echoes of the Evening is a slow-burning, psychologically layered story with underlying moral and societal themes.
Note from author:I'm writing this story intuitively, discovering it as I go. Neither the characters, you nor I know how it will end, but isn't that the fun of it all? I always set the standard for myself on writing meaningful literature. I hope to carry moral, psychological or societal depth in my stories.
English isn't my first language, so I'm always open to feedback (both positive and critical!).
I hope you'll enjoy reading this story as much as I enjoy writing it!
