ok it's not exactly a rewrite, but this is where my more recent hcs of hollow knight will be put! you can ask anyone you like, but please don't have a for all because I can't really pick out every character in the game. Hopefully this book picks up more steam than the last, and with that, onwards! A modern Hollow Knight fic set in 2018, in an unknown city built atop Hallownest. I've humanized everyone because I know that writing bugs will be a pain in the ass and also bugs don't really work with the setting.

after the pale king sealed the abyss, many vessels managed to escape. the pale king picks up on this, and in an effort to save face, demands that the vessels be caught and killed. plans to seal the hollow knight in the black egg insue, as the pale king hopes to end the radiance's reign. the story follows 3 vessels in particular: ghost (the knight) joni ( the one in the middle) and mason (the one on the right) as they seek to escape hallownest alive. NOTE: this is a rewriting of a story i worked on a year ago. I didnt end of finishing that story, and the reason was because i didnt know what i was doing. I didnt have a plan, and i worked with many ideas at once that just didnt work in succession. This time i do have a plan, and i will accomplish it to the best of my ability. Im sorry for keeping everyone who liked my story hanging. I hope to do better.

She had never experienced any haunted house Drama or even seen any valid proof, or evidence that ghosts were real. So why would she believe? She would because a lonely, confused, Dead, Young girl sets out to communicate with her through the Ouija board Catherine so willingly bought.

Eyes opening slowly, the feeling of dread consuming not only the mind but the body, sore throat, lungs hurting, a headache and the sound of ringing continuing to get louder. What happened? The sounds of ringing slowly fading, the voices of others screaming, the yells and pleads of bugs, the sight of running, the sight of red. Fires consuming corners of the streets, the sounds of sirens, the patter of feet, the rubble of buildings once grand covering bodies. What's happening? Hornet found herself in this strange state of consciousness, her thoughts echoing throughout her head, the feeling of blood leaking from her body, the realization that she was stuck under the rubble of her own café. That was where it all began, the world as she knew it was gone slowly after, no more smiles or sounds of laughter. ------------- 'What happened to us? What happened to the world? Where did we go wrong? Is this simply our punishment?' Hornet, a young traveler and hunter of the wastelands. The infection claimed many bugs in the lands of Hallownest, now she's alone and travelling throughout the remains of the civilisation that once stood high. Hearning news that her siblings are still alive gives hope and purpose to Hornet once more. Now she searches for them, and prays to whatever god is listening that they are safe. On her travels she'll meet other strange bugs, and together they might manage to survive. But will the stern and cold Hornet accept their kindness? Or will she simply walk on her own? Modern au/technology etc is a thing and the characters used to live normal "human" lives before the chaos unfolded. This story will contain mature themes, swearing, gore, drinking and sexual themes. Might contain ships like Grimm x Hornet, Quirrel x Hornet and Ghost x Grimmchild- (however its just a possiblity and I don't know if I'm going to add it to the story or not) ⚠️⚠️Cover art belongs to me! A/N: I do not own Hollow Knight. Hollow Knight is owned by Team Cherry. The world of Hallownest has always been inhabited by bugs. The sun rises and sets over the dawn on a new era. The different places lived in harmony, until the Radiance came. The Radiance was once the Light. The God the of the Moths. When the Pale King came, and expanded the minds of the bugs, the Radiance was forgotten. Soon, a golden light began to spread her memory. It began as a blazing light that could break the minds of bugs and enslave them. This began to be known as the Infection. One was chosen by the Pale King, deemed to be pure, to seal the Radiance away. However, this was not the case. That chosen one was not pure. The Radiance brought them to the brink of insanity. The Radiance escaped into Hallownest, and wiped out the rest of the Kingdom. Eventually, she began to threaten all of Hallownest. That is where you come in. You must wake up.

Opposite of what most people think, Fate is a paranormal entity and it can write people destiny, on a book it can write two people destiny. But, what would happen if a girl encountered the book who has her destiny in it? What would she do? And what if she was fated to meet someone who shares the same destiny as her? In this strange world where ghosts and entitys exists, the humans live their everyday life obliviously, and a girl found out that her's and another girl's Fate is to die by the entitys hand now, what will she do?

Hollow Knight characters don't belong to me, they belong to the amazing Team Cherry group and we don't deserve them- The reader is female, but can be imagined as any other gender because I accept everyone no matter what gender. I write with a female reader because thats what I'm used to but I'm taking english and writing classes so I can get better at writing and such-

(This is more than likely just platonic, or whatever you call it. Also, this takes place not long before the fight with the Hollow Knight and the Embrace the Void/Delicate Flower endings and sometime after the endings, and you are about as tall as Hornet, maybe a little shorter or a little taller, depends on what you feel. Not entirely sure on if Grimmchild actually grow up during the whole thing.) You are a bug of hallownest and you and the knight {who I (and by I, I mean you) will just be calling 'Little Ghost' or a name I decided to give them, 'Silent Knight', and for The Hollow Knight/Pure Vessel 'Paladin') have known each other for a while, despite the Silent Knight never actually speaking to you, and you have somehow learned a lot from the small vessel just from them mindlessly staring at you. You have also spent time and talked with Hornet, who you have learned that she was the knight's sibling, mainly from the shells they had on their heads. After some time, Little Ghost shows up again and this time, with someone you didn't know.
