Rhoda glanced at her husband as he descended down the stairs in his business suit with his suitcase in one hand. He did not have his tie tied, but should she help him out? Yes, she should, but it was not necessary. They were not close to the extent of helping him with something like that. Not even close to the extent of giving him breakfast, lunch or dinner.
They were not even close enough to exchange numbers.
Were they at least close enough to know each other's names?
