Intro: This story is inspired by real emotions. Names and situations have been changed. *Nyra, 18, lives more in her imagination than reality. She dreams of being understood, of someone noticing even her smallest tears. Yet, surrounded by friends and family, she feels alone... Part 1:- "A familiar stranger"šŸ‘€ The day had been like any other at school. Classes dragged on, teachers lectured, friends laughed over small jokes, and Nyra went through it all like clockwork. By the time the final bell rang, she felt the familiar mix of relief and emptiness. Another day done, routine followed, nothing out of the ordinary. She walked to the bus stop, her bag resting heavily on her shoulder, and climbed onto the bus. Settling into her usual seat, her eyes wandered through the rows of students. That's when she saw him. A boy, sitting a few seats ahead, wearing a crisp white shirt, black pants, and white spectacles perched neatly on his nose. His hair fell slightly over his forehead as he read some notes, completely absorbed in his own world. Nyra's chest tightened for a momnoticed his smile even then, though she didn't know his name. And now, seeing him again, so ordinary yet striking in his focus, that familiar smile flashed in her mind. The boy she had barely noticed last year now sat in front of her, and for some reason, the memory felt alive, as if nudging her, whispering that some connections are never just random. Nyra looked away, pretending to check her phone, but the memory lingered. That small, unnoticed smile from last year had somehow found its way back into her thoughts, making the ordinary bus ride feel strangely... different. šŸ‘€

They take up space. They shine. They are remembered the moment they walk into a room. She wasn't. (Y/N) (L/N) has always been the kind of girl the world looks through instead of at. Too quiet. Too gentle. Too easy to overlook. The type of person who smiles first, apologizes first, gives first - and somehow always ends up with nothing left for herself. At Death Weapon Meister Academy, everyone arrives with a partner. A weapon. A match. Someone chosen. Everyone except her. Days pass. Then weeks. Then months. Whispers follow her down the halls. "Maybe she's not compatible." "Maybe no one wants her." "Maybe she's just... not meant to fight." So she learns to be useful instead. Helpful. Polite. Perfect. A performance stitched together with lace sleeves and careful smiles. Because if she can't be wanted- maybe she can at least be needed. But even the softest hearts grow tired. And some nights, when the sky is too big and the world feels too loud, she finds herself crying outside the academy walls, wishing-just once-that someone would choose her first. Not because they have to. Not because it's convenient. Just because it's her. And then- something small finds her. A creature with sharp teeth and a softer heart than her own. The first to stay. The first to refuse to leave. The first to look at her like she is something precious. In a world of monsters, weapons, and madness, where souls resonate and fear turns people into something unrecognizable, she remains something strangely fragile. Not the strongest. Not the loudest. Not the most talented. Just kind enough to hurt herself for everyone else.

Some memories cling like shadows in a silent room, echoing a friendship that vanished too soon. She moves through the world unseen, carrying fragments of loss and quiet longing, unsure if anyone could ever reach the corners of her heart. Then, without warning, a glance, a laugh, a shared moment of warmth begins to unravel the solitude she's carried for so long. In that fragile space, she feels it-the slow, uncertain bloom of joy, the fragile pulse of hope, the sense that maybe, just maybe, happiness is something she can touch again.

She always wanted to make him happy, no matter the price she had to pay. Though when she ask for anything it was always "no". Always "not now, later". But later never came. So she would haul herself up in their room and wait for him. Cry and wait. Day after day. Every day was the same! But not this day... She'd had enough. She finally broke. So now she's running.

What if your name decided your whole life? Jariha is ten years old, and already she feels like she's been marked. Her name - which means wounded - sets her apart from the shiny, perfect girls in her class. At school, she hides behind her brown jacket. At home, no one listens. And when her only friend Nora starts drifting away, Jariha meets Jamila - the new girl with the kind of beauty and confidence that fills every room. What begins as a slow, quiet friendship becomes something deeper... and more complicated. Spanning ten years of heartbreaks, betrayals, girlhood and silence, "Jariha" is a coming-of-age novel about the wounds we carry, the names we inherit, and the strength it takes to write your own meaning. This book follows Jariha through her childhood and teenage years, showing how her quiet, complicated friendship with Jamila slowly grows into something deep, fragile, and unforgettable. "A bond stronger than friendship, deeper than first love - and harder to name."

Eleanor Mayers looks fine. She smiles. She studies hard. She keeps quiet. She plays the role perfectly. But inside? She's unraveling. Haunted by a grief no one talks about and a loneliness no one sees, Eleanor walks through life carrying the weight of her silence. With a mother who's barely holding on, classmates who only know her mask, and a past she never unpacked, her mind becomes the one place she can't escape. Then comes therapy. One question. One moment. One woman who doesn't flinch at the silence. As Eleanor's sessions with Ms. Michaels slowly crack open everything she's buried, she begins to ask herself the question that's been screaming inside for years: What's wrong with me? A raw, poetic journey into the quiet chaos of mental illness, grief, identity, and the desperate desire to be seen. For readers who've ever smiled through pain, felt invisible in a crowd, or wished someone would just ask, "Are you really okay?" Because sometimes the heaviest things we carry are the ones no one can see.
