This is the story of the Summer that changed Ruth's life.

This is a short story recounting one of the memories I have of the discovery of my attraction to boys. For context, it was the emergence of my feelings for one of my closer friends in 5th grade after he gave me a friendly kiss on the cheek once. What follows is what's written.
