This is a story about a Popstar named Modesta Brown, whose path crossed with Lorn Lucas, CEO of the great, famous and almighty EMPIREDEGOLD but had a lot of adversaries because Lorn was a guy every lady desired to behold to themselves... Ossie planned and worked his whole life to reach the top. Finally he'll have the highest positon, get the girl, and the recognition he craved. However things don't always go as planned. On the eve of his ascendancy, tragedy after tragedy strike. He had never thought of another plan. With his life goals shattered his reality starts to splinter. Now he's taking one last job, restoring Lorn Mansion. When the butler is only seen at night, sipping crimson liquids, the Gardner is always out hunting under the full moon, and the cook looks like they haven't eaten in decades; Ossie starts to wonder. My pet cat is no more!!

Bobogue is a poet and lives on the dole like her brother Paddy, another poet. They have a dysfunctional small farm which Paddy never leaves. Bobogue ventures into the outside world twice a week. She stables her poetry to telegraph poles in town, does the shopping and rarely speaks to anyone. Then she meets Jason, a software whizz who has just moved to the area... a lot happens in this short story, which won the Irish Caomhnú fiction award in 2011. Bobogue was published in Onwards blog and in The Clare Champion. It opens Quare Hawks, my 3rd collection of stories.

Lorn(adjective): •Lonely and abandoned; forlorn. Sylvia Carree and Wesley Pryor two childhood friends who've grew up together and were practically inseparable. Until Sylvia moved away due to her being traumatized at such a young age. Sylvia and Wesley were deeply in love as they once knew each other. So they may have thought. Will the two of them rekindle together or will they drift away from each other's lives? Will life get the best of them both or will their love take the lead?Either love or loneliness/abandonment will conquer their past,present, And their future. (This is a Romdram: Romance + Drama)
