Who is this woman anyhow and why is the Valar's mark on her hand?

Is a guardian of Middle Earth. she knows magic having learned from Gandalf but her main feature are her big brown wings. shes being hunted by orks and seeks refuge in Mirkwoord by a certain elven king...
