It has been 2 years since Luz has left the Boiling isles, after promising Amity she would come back. Amity loses fate in the promise that was made and thinks that Luz will never come back. Amity however, joined a Volleyball club, along side with Willow, Gus, Boscha, Skara, and The blight twins. Will Luz reunite happily with her old friends? Or will Luz be forgotten, and she will spend her time in the boiling isles with King, Eda, Hooty and Lilith?

No childhood, no family, no friends. After a rather rough childhood of being a foster child and being moved around the whole country, Luz reaches a new family, a new city, everything looks like she can start fresh. But neither her new mom Eda, nor the little town in the midwest seems to be just ordinary and as her past mistakes slowly grasp at her, as the world around begins to let down its masquerade, she can't longer outrun her past.
