I am going to try to write the most realistic LuNami ship story. So that means there probably won't be much smut fan service (since it would break realism) and yes Luffy is still going to be oblivious and dense so he won't understand romance or relationship related stuff. This is to preserve his character, but even with him being like this, I still managed to write a LuNami fan fic... This will take place after they achieved all their goals, since with how Oda writes One Piece, if they start a relationship before then it would be unrealistic since Oda tends to focus on the plot more than anything else and he writes the characters like that as well. So yes that means that Luffy is the Pirate King, they found the One Piece, they finished sailing the Grand Line, there is a new much less corrupt world government and all the major threats that existed are gone. I am not going to write much about this whole ending itself to preserve what Oda has planned for the ending of One Piece, I will only write after the ending. I think a good LuNami relationship would flow seamlessly with an actual one piece like plot, rather than the world or the story being focused around the relationship itself. I think this is how Oda would write it since most of the LuNami moments in the canon were incorporated into the story itself and didn't have attention brought to them specifically. So this is how I am going to try to write this fanfic as well, which actually might not be that difficult because of Luffy and Nami's personalities: Luffy is dense and oblivious and Nami is guarded. I do not own One Piece.
