1979. The story begins in California. An 8-year-old Maxine meets Cassian, though he's a mysterious figure, the two become friends. Yet his arrival is met with his swift disappearance from her life. Little did the two know that they'd meet up in Hawkins once more in 1984, and one hell of a reunion it will be. The first couple chapters are short and might feel slow but give it a chance for me to get back into the feel of this as I haven't written anything in a while... and cringe a lot at my own work... be kind please and enjoy. This is during season 5, in filling in the blanks Of what didn't happen. Who we didn't get a reunion with (Dustin, El, Etc) and just things I imagine happening between scenes. Also gonna write the stuff that DID happen in the show too, just saying what I think their internal monologue would be saying. (Specifically Max's.) First two chapters made before the finale.
