But now? now it had been 5 years since she had seen the people she once called family. So what happens when she takes a job in Seattle as their new battalion chief. Running is what Maya has always been good at, whether it be for exercise or from her pain. It's the knowing when to stop part that always gets her into trouble. Maya is struggling to adapt to her new role as Captain of Station 19. Will she be able to keep her declining mental health a secret, or will it all fall apart? There may or may not be some mentions of heavy drinking, reckless behavior/self-harm and disordered eating patterns. I do not own any of these characters, merely just fanfiction.

It strikes at night, it's blade cutting down everyone that gets in it's way. One night, four travelers gather to stop the shadow, and go out to fight it.
