Amarella never knew what "love" was until she met Maximus in her first year of college. She was bored out of her mind when a tall, handsome boy with dark brown hair came and sat beside her in her class. He showed her nothing but love and tenderness. She thought he was the one for her. Until one day, on their anniversary to be exact, she saw him at the movies with Chelsea, his ex, after he had told her that his mom was in the hospital so he couldn't come over. That broke her heart. A burning sensation spread through her body and she hoped it is not what she was thinking. She rushed to the bathroom and took her shirt off. She felt sick to her stomach as the one thing that truly defines who she was was disappearing right before her eyes. She couldn't take the pressure anymore. The world around her felt as if it was spinning. She was slowly losing everything and there was nothing she could do. As the thought kept resonating in her head, everything started to turn dark. The only thing that was in her mind was "who's gonna love me now and why did I run to this nasty, smelly bathroom"

Growing up, I always thought that there was something terribly wrong with me. Because while everyone else had no problem blindly following orders, I had always been more curious. I realized I wasn't the only one when I met my friends. We came up with a whole plan to wait until graduation and then leave. We were so close, until it all went backwards. All this time we thought that it was unlivable atmosphere outside of the barriers. That no one else dared to be curious. Turns out there was a real good reason for that.
