Cassandra has mastered the art of balancing her chaotic nightlife with the demands of being an architecture scholar. Known for her love of clubbing, she hides behind the loud music and flashing lights to escape the pain of losing her best friend-the one person she treated like a sister. Blaming herself for what happened, she drowns in parties, pretending everything is fine. Then she meets Mateo, a wealthy biology student with secrets of his own. They cross paths at a club one fateful night, but Mateo isn't there to party-he's searching for his estranged sister. As Cassandra and Mateo's worlds collide, they uncover hidden truths that force Cassandra to confront her past and Mateo to make difficult choices about the people he loves. In a world where they seem so different, they find that they're both running away from something-until they realize they might just be each other's way out. In a society obsessed with speed and superficiality, men are often coerced into a relentless chase, leaving little room for genuine depth. We speak of peace, yet we rarely tell men the truth about its nature. It is not the tranquil retreat from noise and drama that popular culture portrays. True peace, for a man, begins not with quietude, but with a profound, often agonizing, internal war-a battle for balance between the relentless drive for improvement and the intrusive thoughts that conspire against it. It is about settling the conflicts within, not merely escaping external skirmishes. A note on this journey: I am not certified or professionally trained in mental health. The insights and observations presented in this book are purely my own, born from years of shared conversations with men from all walks of life, alongside my own deeply personal experiences and reflections. My hope is that this perspective brings a unique form of enlightenment and reassurance - a testament to the ongoing work we all have to do, and a gentle whisper that the peace we often seek is not quite what we think it is.
