Prequel to The Lone Dove: #0.5
It started with him. John Parker was a reserved, dark and difficult male to get along with, talk to or even look at. The man was colder than I could have ever imagined when my Father's attorney handed me my father's Will and my older brother his company, known as Celestial, a program run by my family, I read what was owed. The price was me. John didn't know, that part I was absolutely certain of.
Annalisa, my best friend of five years now, was in a relationship with William Myers. A man who so happened to be John Parker's closest friend, many thought they were brothers. As thick as thieves. John Parker was an only child and my father had used an emergence, money from the Parker's, in exchange for a marriage proposal.
I wanted to help run the infamous Parker's Manufacturing Enterprises, but there was no way on earth I would agree to marry such a wooden-monotonic fool like the white-blonde-haired, emerald green-eyed robot who didn't even seem to play an interest in me at all. I did whatever I could to attempt to remove the proposal without John's knowing and still manage to work in the department I knew my father had directed in the Parker's enterprises. But there was just one tiny, minuscule problem.
John Parker refused to agree when I needed his signature, despite having tried for months to get rid of it without his knowledge. I had never hated someone so much as I do with him, the reserved man who had a possessive streak for me.
