"why the fuck am i so unlucky, grandpa"? i swear the universe has a personal problem with me. one minute i'm walking into my own apartment, next minute i'm watching my boyfriend fuck the one girl i've always hated - maddie. my cat runs out like even he couldn't stand the drama. i'm crying, shaking, dialing my best friend... and somehow i end up spilling my entire heartbreak to a complete stranger on the wrong number before hanging up like an idiot shit emo emo emooooooooooo dumb bitch. later that night kayy drags me to some club celebrating its 37th birthday. i'm sitting alone, smoking, minding my business, when this quiet guy next to me starts talking about the craziest call he got. a girl. a cheating boyfriend. someone named maddie. that's when it hit me. it was him. the stranger i cried to. he disappeared before i could even ask his name. four days later my cat runs off again... and leads me straight to the same soft-spoken man, calmly feeding him like they've been friends this whole time. some people meet cute. i met him through heartbreak, a wrong number, and a black cat that refuses to stay home.
