Irene's POV

A young woman reluctantly entered into a dark basement, her light footsteps making small echoes against the old, wooden stairs that she crept anxiously on. When she made it to the end of the stairway, a young man sat in the dark in a large armchair. The only source of light came from a flickering lightbulb that hung haphazardly in between the two opposing persons. The light caused the man's yellow slit eyes to appear to glow and the small fangs pointing out from his malicious grin to shimmer. The woman did not like this. She slowly approached the man with reluctance, but eventually stood before him and spoke, "I h-have accepted the t-t-terms..." Her hands shook as she handed the man a small note that crumpled under her stress-driven fidgeting. The man snatched the note from her and used his other hand to grip her arm. The woman let out a yelp, but quickly recovered the scream and bottled it deep in the pit of her stomach, where the rest of her anxiety resided. The man placed it on a small tray-table that stood next to the chair and rose from his sitting position. He snaked his now free hand around the woman's waist and jerked it towards him, forcing his lips to collide with the woman. They went on for a long while, finally releasing for air. They both panted, but only one of the two actually enjoyed the kiss. The man pressed his lips to her ear and whispered, "Keep it up... you're doing great princess... soon, forgiveness will be yours to cherish. Don't forget; your freedom will only come when hers ends, so don't mess it up." Then he sent her away to make some calls.
