Also, the story will not completely follow events of Mario the Music Box, thought you should be given a heads-up as well. After resisting the influence of Alice, Mario found himself stumbled upon an abandoned town. Memories of his forgotten past incarnation begin to flood his mind as he wandered around in distress. He was alone, cold and hurt that his own brother abandoned him, but he refused to give up for Luigi's sake. "There is still hope, I'm sure we'll get out of this cursed place. Just you wait Luigi, I won't disappoint you."

With the aid of a mysterious entity, which shares a resemblance to the cheshire that allowed him such power, Mario is made aware of the cycle he has endured all this time in this godforsaken world and is provided the opportunity to free himself and return home once more. It won't be so easy, however, as the God of this realm will not let him escape. Is this the time where he can finally get his happy ending with those he cherishes? This story is based on the game (Mario) The Music Box ARC, specifically the Wonderland DLC released in 2019 and created by Team Ari and Corpse Syndrome. This DLC has only two endings, so I decided to create a third ending route to show my interpretation of what a good ending may look like. It is recommended you play through the DLC first hand, as this is a continuation of one of the two endings and, therefore, will contain spoilers. The characters of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad(s) belong to Nintendo. Other characters involved belong to Team Ari and Corpse Syndrome. Art featured created by me. This is the beginning of my MTMB (Mario:The Music Box) AU; Modern Day This story take place during the C3 (Continuance 3) ending of Mario: The music Box. Yeah so this is based off my girlfriend's HC (headcanon) of Mario/Luigi, so they won't act like the canon versions of theirselves. and it's also kind of based off MTMB, except it won't be about the game's story. Mario had seen Riba change. Change for the better. First the young man was very much cold and distant but then he began gradually getting use to Mario and the two were beginnign to grow on each other. Soon things start getting.....off...something isn't quite right about Riba....some things are best left unseen. To the young Italian. (The art to this cover is not mine it belongs to Elwensa.
