------------------ Her POV'S ----------------------- He was sitting in the hall, lost in his thoughts. I approached him with a shaky heart and trembling hands, holding out a cup. "Chai..," I offered softly. He lifted his gaze slowly, his sharp eyes landing on me like a warning. For a moment, I hesitated under his intense stare. "Mujhe nahi chahiye," he said roughly, his voice cold and final. "Par...," I began, unsure and timid. "KAHAAN NAHI CHAHIYE!" he suddenly shouted, his voice echoing through the hall. Before I could even react, he snatched the cup and hurled it onto the floor. It shattered instantly, pieces scattering everywhere like fragments of something unfixable. The sound echoed, but what broke more was something inside me. For a second, I just stood frozen my breath stuck, my eyes burning. He pushed himself up from the sofa, his presence heavy and intimidating, as if the entire room had shrunk around him. ----------------------------------------------------- When she considers him her everything but he doesn't consider her his. This is a fictional story based on my family's and my personal experiences of moving to the United States from Mexico where I learned the hard truths of family, culture and life.
