The summer after graduation was supposed to be simple for Mabel. But with Dipper away on a summer internship and the future looking uncertain before her, Mabel Pines returns to Gravity Falls. Back to the old Mystery Shack, back to the people she was once so close to, and back to the familiar strangeness she once called home. It should feel comforting. But it doesn't. Gravity Falls has changed a lot, especially with Grunkle Stan and Grunkle Ford both dead. And now, the Mystery Shack is being run by Soos and Melody. But this drastic change sparks something new for Mabel, and sparks old danger she thought was gone.

Mabel, a young princess in a tower, has long for freedom her whole life. What happens to the young thief, Bill Cipher, when he finds himself forced to babysit a naive girl, who just happens to have one of the darkest pasts he's met.

Mabel and Dipper move from California to Gravity Falls to live with their grunkles to start a new life. But Bill Cipher has come back as a human and captured Mabel and taken her to the Dreamscape. What will happen?
