With no family she learns to cope with what she has, but it's kind of hard to cope and have a normal live if your getting chased by dead walking bodies. No one knows exactly how the apocalypse happened, but while Ellie and Maci are trying to survive they run into their old idols One Direction. Maci finds feelings for Niall, but you can't be in love while you are running from the world can you? Maci can't handle it anymore and decides she'd rather die than run her whole life.
