Mais um conto do universo de "NO ÚLTIMO VOLUME", porém, agora, narrado por ELOÍSA (protagonista de "AO SOM DO BAILE", livro 2 da SÉRIE). Ao encontrar um Buldogue ainda filhotinho - abandonado dentro de uma caixa de sapato na porta de sua casa -, Eloísa decidi urgentemente cuidar do animal. O problema é que Dona Lola, sua mãe, é alérgica aos pelos de cachorro. Sem alternativas, ela tenta pedir ajuda de sua melhor amiga, Mariana, para abrigar o filhotinho até então abandonado pelo seu verdadeiro dono. Será que ela conseguirá dar um novo lar para o cachorro?
