After years of writing, here is a compilation of poetry written on planes, in the desert, before bed and between meals. Not only does it touch on addiction and recovery, but mental illness, grief, and longing. This collection is my heart and soul, digging deep into my imagination.

The following pages are my reflections of my last 13 years battling with severe mental health issues and my recent return to God. These years have been filled with struggle, traumas, and pain. It's no coincidence that when these struggles started, I turned my back on God and my faith and spent most of the rest of these years in darkness, depression, and despair. However, since returning to my faith, I have experienced a tremendous amount of healing, and my life has changed in ways I didn't think possible. Once haunted with my past, I have now rediscovered hope in my life, and the sting associated with my mental health issue have begun to fade. Each topic in this book covers some aspect of my mental health journey and how God has transformed my life and my perspective. This is the story of my healing.

His eyes were greyish, luminous but warm. Almost identical to the cloudy weather we so often have here. Clouds alternating eachother, displaying us a spectacle of light and dark performing the waltz together. The tumultous weather also resembles his character. He was a boisterous boy, never shying out of a brawl. He was a spirited presence. Cheeky for sure. A boy with blond angelic hair in the summer and in the winter his hair would appear like the sun on a cloudy day. As his appearance adapted throughout the season, his joyfull character would too, thoughout his life.
