# **The Language of Us**
### *Doree Singhaniya × Mann Rajvansh*
What happens when two people speak completely different languages?
Doree Singhaniya has never needed words to express herself.
She is deaf and non-speaking, and Indian Sign Language has always been her voice-the way she tells stories, argues, laughs, dreams, and loves.
Then comes **Mann Rajvansh**.
He doesn't understand her signs.
He doesn't understand her silence.
And, at first, he doesn't even try.
To Mann, Doree's constant hand movements are confusing. Her inability to answer him the way he expects is frustrating. Sometimes, despite himself, he gets irritated.
And Doree?
She's tired of people treating her silence like something that needs to be fixed.
Their first meetings are anything but romantic.
There are misunderstandings. Awkward moments. Frustration. Stubbornness.
And a boy who keeps asking,
*"Why can't you just tell me?"*
Until one day, Mann realizes something.
**She has been telling him all along.**
He simply never learned how to listen.
Slowly, Mann begins learning Indian Sign Language-not because Doree needs to change for him, but because he wants to understand her world.
One sign becomes two.
Two become conversations.
Conversations become laughter.
And somewhere between stolen glances, silent arguments, playful teasing, accidental touches, and conversations made entirely with their hands...
Mann begins to understand the girl behind the silence.
And Doree begins to discover that maybe, for once, someone isn't trying to speak *for* her.
He's simply trying to **listen to her.**
Because sometimes love doesn't need a voice.
Sometimes...
love is simply learning someone's language.
She spoke with her hands.
He listened with his heart.
And together, they created a language of their own.
