In the year 2761, Mars was completely colonized as a new home for the human species. Over the course of hundreds of years, humans flocked to the Martian Colonies and established what came to be known as the Unified Colonies of the Belt. The UCB used it's incredible influence to slowly gain tactical superiority over it's brother colonies of Earth and other planets such as Jupiter and Pluto. The UCB stood for five hundred years, and developed into one of the most prominent military powers and economic powers in the Milky Way. However, by the year 3322, the colonies had exhausted most of their resources in the Belt, including the near endless supply of salt and other minerals found in their mining industry. Slowly the Belt began to spread it's influence across the galaxy in order to gain more materials to support it's fluctuating population. Our story begins with our three heroes, if you could call them that. John Starfall, the coward son of a Martian colonist and a Belt Miner, Mina Starfall, the tall and quiet daughter of who knows who and an android by the name of "Lily". Hi, I'm Alexandria and this is the story of how I became one of the first mars colonists. So it all started when NASA told the world it'd be accepting applications to live on mars as a trial run at multi planet living, cool, right? Anyway I signed up, even though I was seventeen the NASA trip to mars would take place two years from now. Meaning I could be old enough one year before to start training. I was the youngest Application they accepted. I didn't tell anyone but close friends; having a bad relationship with both my parents meant I didn't give a shit what they did, they didn't give a shit what I did. So mars? "Cool just pick up your room before you go!" Etc etc. it was a weird process and I didn't know how to conduct myself in the application video so I just set up a camera, sat down on my swivel chair, and pressed record.
