After the ending of Priority Earth. Ryder is investigating a cryo pod that was put on the Nexus. It was mentioned in a secret file on the Nexus. Ryder wasn't even planning to investigate it but now since she wasn't doing anything really after finding meridian. The pod was put in a pretty good part of the ship it was hidden in the walls pretty much Sam noticed the anomaly. It had crashed after falling apart from ship on Meridian. The main thing Ryder is even investigating is because the name on the cryo chamber is 'Shepherd.' My choice for mass effect three affects this story. Also remember this is all fiction a fan made.

Will the life upon the Normandy change her and break down who she has been built up for or will she leave them once settling a certain dispute? Will they be able to worm behind her walls and rebuild her bridges? Or leave her standing alone once again. Find out what happens to the Assassin upon Normandy with its various Species aboard that just can't leave things alone. This scenario was something she was well versed in (or as well versed as you can be for something as mind-bending as this.) She'd read plenty of stories (all of them fan-fiction) and even humoured herself with this sort of wild fantasy- except this wasn't a fantasy, a dream, or just her being exceedingly immersed some sort of story. No this was reality, the sharp sterile note of the air, the clearness of her mind and the dull throb of her mind as it tries to comprehend an otherwise incomprehensible situation all lead to one conclusion. She was a girl out of her time.
