The humorous part of the story lies in the play of words. The word 'pie' fits into the word 'pioneer', thus creating a pun." Jack is born with a curse. He is forced to hide away in the forest for fourteen years. He discovers his parents have died and goes on a mission to discover the secret behind their mysterious death and to get rid of his curse. On the way, he meets an unknown relative and together they journey. He finds out that if doesn't get rid of his curse before his fifteenth birthday, he will die. Unfortunate manners unfold and Jack is left to carry on with his mission ALONE. Will he uncover the mystery and will he lift his curse before he's too late?
