The Boy and the Angel Dawn to dusk, dusk to dawn, the boy bent low and labored on. For crust and crumb his days were sold, his hands grew rough, his heart grew old. Hard he laboured, long and well, The boy would laugh - and sometimes fell. Alone, he returned to work again, to old memories, to quiet pain- as though some silver thread of grace, might weave a smile upon his face. But time, unkind, went slipping through; His laugh grew faint, silence grew. Day followed night with hollow tread- and something in the boy fell dead. Then from the sky fell a star, Sinking into earth, a light from afar. No warmth she brought, no breath, no light- but something wrong, and not of right. Something that had strayed from heaven, with neither mercy asked nor given And dawn to dusk, and dusk to dawn, Her shadow clung where light would fade, No word she gave, no truth she told- yet his broken place was far less cold. Inspired by Robert Browning's poem.

Short Description: A fluffy, low angst, Supercorp medieval AU with plenty of Supercorp gay panic, heroism, and love. Kara and Lena are both queens of neighboring realms. They find love in each other's arms as they fight an unknown villain who seeks to destroy the peace of the empire. Summary: In the West, just beyond the Strait of Bryneich, there stand nine independent island realms, all matriarchal and formidable in their own right. These islands are collectively known as the Empire of Pavia. While the realms of the Empire come together for purposes of defense against their aggressive neighbors to the East, and matters of general trade, each of the realms are ruled independently and responsible for their own affairs. The strongest of these Pavian Realms are Argos, ruled by the Sapphire Queen, Queen Kara; Rojas, ruled by the Ruby Queen, Queen Andrea; and the Kieran Isles, ruled by the Emerald Queen, Queen Lena. When a mysterious evildoer begins a series of attacks on Argos and the Kieran Isles, Kara, Lena and their clans must unite to determine who the culprit is and destroy them before they themselves are destroyed. While they pull together to fight the villainy that plagues their realms, the two Queens feel an instant and passionate connection, but an oath made prevents them from being together. They are tossed into a sea of tumult as their desires grow and it becomes more impossible to deny their love. Our story begins as one queen takes her last breath and another rises in her place... The end of the 1970s era judged the patriarchy on the grounds of all the sufferings of women whether in terms of violence, illiteracy, or the continuous consumption of female resources achieved as gifts during the time of marriage. There is nothing to blame the male community alone for the backward scenario of women, but the women are also totally responsible for tolerating it silently which pushed up in setting this kind of culture. The lineage we are taught of always arises multiple questions together, the increased hierarchy in the education level coming up in the form of rivalry which continuously challenges such measures and demands necessary changes.

In the end, the kingdoms stood, but nothing was whole. The war had ended long before the last sword fell - it ended the moment hearts turned to stone and oaths became cages. Yashodhara was remembered as a queen who bled for none, yet burned for all. Arjun faded from scrolls, but not from silence. And the desert, as always, buried the truth beneath its sands - where love once bloomed like a wound that never asked to heal.

Compared to the world of skinny fashion models and media ruling the way women should look, act and feel, the Isthmus Zapotec culture of southern Mexico is a land of free thinking entrepreneurial warrior women. Tehuanas, as they have become known, run the markets, manage the family purse, and are generally regarded - even by the men - to be the more intelligent of the sexes. During the course of history they have inspired artists, intellectuals and politicians, and risen to the status of national icon of Mexico. I feel there are definitely some lessons we could learn from this culture, not least how to break free from the mould others create for us. Join us on a quest that delves into the structure of family and social hierarchy to try and find a real-life matriarchy!

Ashantae was but three years old when she first saw The Mother, Masari. The Mother frightened Ashantae with her wild appearance, but also made her feel warm, safe, protected. Her sister and her were orphaned, but never alone in their small tribe of superstitious people. The Mother was feared and revered and legendary. Ashantae was curious about this feral Goddess with her cold blue eyes and violent red hair that glowed purple and red in the sun. She felt a deep-set longing connection to The Mother. This is a story I've been wanting to write down for a very long time, but have only just found a reason to. This story takes place during the early years of our world, much before the age we live in. The lead character, Ashantae (Uh-shan-tay) is a young teen of 16, living in a world gifted with The Mother. Soon after her 16th birthday, The Mother loses her female companion and adopts Ashantae, sharing with her her longevity, her strengths, her senses, and the history of how all came to be.
