But when their love of laughter leads to them and several of their friends to found the sketch comedy group Studio C, their dream's rocky start only seems to cause friction between them. Even as success begins to come, there aren't enough hours in the day to have any real relationship--except the one they put on for the cameras. Seven seasons and over four years later, Studio C is starting to become a household name, but it seems the only shadow of Matt and Mallory's once spectacular relationship is their ship 'Mattory,' little more than a marketing device. Even though they may go through a few trials there and there, but if it's destiny for these two. Something must happen between them.

At the center of it all are Matt Meese and Mallory Everton, half of the original four founding members and, many believe, two halves of a whole themselves. Over the years, they've grown used to the fact that most of their fans ship them, and that 'Mattory' is used as a publicity device. That doesn't bother them, though it's not uncommon for them to put up an annoyed front for the cameras. They just haven't quite managed to figure out that maybe it's never been just for the cameras... and it may take a madman in a blue box to show them so. This street, Rainy Lane, lives up to its name. It is gloomy all year round, every second of every day. That house on the end of the street doesn't help much with that either.

Matthew Meese and Mallory Everton... every Studio C fan KNEW they would end up together, only... Matt and Mal didn't believe that. They lived their lives thinking they would continue being best friends until one day it all changed. They noticed the fans had been right and that the feelings they had deep down wasn't just indigestion. It was love... Story takes place in 2019. Just your average Mattory Fanfic ❤️ Sorry for any mistakes 😬

The first time that Matt Meese and Mallory Everton meet is less than ideal. Matt makes a mistake that might guarantee that the two of them will never be friends. However, they are forced to be co-workers. Mal can't find it in herself to forgive Matt, and even starts to hate him more as they continue to act in sketches together. Matt, however, finds himself falling in love with the spunky, kind-hearted girl. The rest of the Studio C cast plots and schemes to get the two of them together, but nothing seems to work. And then one day, something happens that reminds the Matt and Mallory of the first time they met, and it will either tear them apart forever or give them new hope.
