modern au / 2018 Highschool senior John Lennon was a role model for many of his peers. the punk rock loving, openly bisexual teen was likeable to many and an inspiration to those stuck in the closet. One of those being Paul McCartney. A kind, shy musical theater geek who wasn't seen much. He spends most of his time with his best friend George Harrison; who keeps Paul's sexuallity a secret. Because he was a good friend. Paul had already been beat up enough at his last school simply for looking like a "fag." When he ends up with a crush on John he tries to find out how he will get the boy for his own while avoiding coming out to his family and friends, while John, Stu, and Pete try to find dates for the senior dance.

(High School Era) John and Paul were classmates. John always got into trouble, and Paul didn't. They balanced each other out perfectly, and their friendship was perfect. Until, John found the notebook.

The fabulous four are shipped off to boarding school! Beers music and feelings cascade in the air. What happens when love tramps the power of friendship? What's said when Paul and John are alone?

"John Lennon was never one to complain if something were bothering him, especially if the person he was complaining to could be of no aid to the dilemma. He felt it unnecessarily needy, and he considered himself independent, self-sufficient." Inspired by Mpreg fanfiction logic.

Set in 1962, the young and fierce Beatles perform yet another marvelous show at the Cavern Club, Liverpool. To the crowd, it was a life-changing experience to witness; but for John Lennon, the show was a complete disaster. Aside from the occasional missed entrance and hiccup, the one most worrying John is Paul. Paul, often quick with humor and critique, is anything but himself. Determined, John seeks to figure out what is the matter. After the show, John is hit by news that they need to write a song by the following day. Paul and John spend the night at the McCartney home, scheming away to make the perfect song to pitch for tomorrow's meeting. But as the night grows long and emotions become tense, both Paul and John begin to question the nature of their friendship, their band, and their futures.

You've seen a lot of high school AU's with the Beatles, I'm sure. I have too. But for me, they normally never are finished or never really satisfying with creativity. *and sorry for those who have written some and are happy with them, I'm just going from what I've read, i haven't read them all lol* This is just a fan fiction where I try my best to capture a modern type of Beatles story. I based the way they look off of many pictures I used as reference. John, is the bad boy type of course. George is sort of the introverted main character. Ringo is the happy go lucky jock. *ik ringo isn't exactly jock material but i thought it was cute* And Paul, of course, is a very sassy, but very classy queen of tumbler aesthetics. *don't judge me plz* I'm very bad with this kinda thing, but i think this story is actually acceptable.
