Jesse McCree is the most mischievous little brat that Hanzo Shimada has ever met. Despite them both being demons, they're polar opposites. Hanzo prefers to lay low and try to go against his nature of crime and destruction. Meanwhile, Jesse likes getting himself into all kinds of trouble and stealing whatever he can get his hands on. Now, after learning all of this info, I'm sure you'd be at least a little surprised if I told you these two were actually best friends who had fallen for each other, right? Well, they are. One of them just doesn't realise it yet. (This first story is probably gonna be like less then 10 chapters, hence why I put short story in the title. And no, this will not have any mature content. No McHanzo sin for you guys.) PS: If any of you can find the original artists to any of the pieces I use and comment their names down below, I'd appreciate it a lot! I've tried to find them but have been unable to, and would love to be able to credit their lovely pieces! And no, none of it is mine, I wish I could draw that well lol.

After retiring from Blackwatch, Jesse McCree became a 24/7 Life Guard at a well known beach near the coast. One day, he saves Hanzo washed up on the land and finds out he was related to someone from before. After the incident, McCree decided to take care of him for a while. One night, he saves Hanzo from drowning and their friendship grows. Possibly even more than friends.

Hanzo Shimada wasn't used to this newfound feeling in the pit of his stomach, an unfamiliar churning making it hard to focus on the issues at hand. Through the war that was tearing everything near and far apart, to the spats that were causing irreversible damage, the last thing he needs is more drama. But when wannabe-cowboy Jesse McCree walks into his life, his life is turned upside down and all of a sudden he is not the calm man he once was. With a cowboy dominating his thoughts, and the feelings only getting stronger what will happen to the emotionless man. Will he give in and act on impulse, or will he let this fleeting love get away from him for fear of making things worse for himself. (AU where Hanzo doesn't feel anything because it was beaten into him as a child that he couldn't feel things. TW's include child abuse, though there's only one major mention in chapter one.)
