modern au / 2018 Highschool senior John Lennon was a role model for many of his peers. the punk rock loving, openly bisexual teen was likeable to many and an inspiration to those stuck in the closet. One of those being Paul McCartney. A kind, shy musical theater geek who wasn't seen much. He spends most of his time with his best friend George Harrison; who keeps Paul's sexuallity a secret. Because he was a good friend. Paul had already been beat up enough at his last school simply for looking like a "fag." When he ends up with a crush on John he tries to find out how he will get the boy for his own while avoiding coming out to his family and friends, while John, Stu, and Pete try to find dates for the senior dance.

From their intricate detailing in the way they draw eyes, capturing so much life and at times total lack of it, to the poses they paint with a photographic realism yet a graceful touch of abstraction, and even to their daily doodles that include endearing scribbles and crossings out- Winnie's art downright entranced the eldest McCartney Kid into following them. But when Paul moves to a new town and, consequently, a new Highschool, Winnie's art takes an unexpected turn which Paul might have unintentionally influenced. You've seen a lot of high school AU's with the Beatles, I'm sure. I have too. But for me, they normally never are finished or never really satisfying with creativity. *and sorry for those who have written some and are happy with them, I'm just going from what I've read, i haven't read them all lol* This is just a fan fiction where I try my best to capture a modern type of Beatles story. I based the way they look off of many pictures I used as reference. John, is the bad boy type of course. George is sort of the introverted main character. Ringo is the happy go lucky jock. *ik ringo isn't exactly jock material but i thought it was cute* And Paul, of course, is a very sassy, but very classy queen of tumbler aesthetics. *don't judge me plz* I'm very bad with this kinda thing, but i think this story is actually acceptable.

Paul is a shy school boy in Liverpool with severe anxiety and depression. He's abused at home by his father and the idea that there's no future ahead haunts him. Until he meets an arrogant and confident boy named John at school.
