I like to think some people don't realize they are being abused until someone else makes them notice; makes them realize it. This is not a happy story. This is not for you to feel sorry for me. This is for me to tell my story without expecting anyone to care. I am telling my story with no expectations, and to help my mental health. This is a memoir, and like all memoirs, it is written from my memories. Memories are fallible and unreliable, so this should be read as a story. I have done my best to tell my story honestly, nonetheless, they are still memories. This story is based on real-life events that happened to me. It is in no way based on someone else other than myself.

A poem that discusses the polarizing expectations of women in today's Western society.

•○•○• A collection of poetry•○•○• Although the majority of these were written during a very rough part of my life,, and often travel far down the rabbit hole... please please always remember: {{YOU ARE SO LOVED MY DARLING}} There will always be adversary in your life, but honey, you will get through this. I believe in you. Yes, YOU. YOU CAN MAKE IT THROUGH THIS!! After losing many very loved people to suicide, I struggled with wanting to die myself. For two (coming up on three) years I have been fighting a constant war. On my diagnosis, on my subconscious, on my (lack of) self love, on myself. I, to this day, have days where instead of making it onto here, my poetry is written in the little bubbles of blood coming from my arms. The biggest thing I have come to learn in my struggle is that I didn't ever want to die, I wanted my life as I knew it to end. I hope you enjoy my poetry, lovelies. Nightmares of abuse are a scar on one's soul. One may never know when that scar might open again and bleed.

The story opens with Sid Lewinski being swarmed by adoring fans as a Top Ten in the National Idol contest. Sid (1st person narrative) brings the reader back to his beginnings at high school, as a friendless and physically immature high school student who is teased and depressed and sneaks prescription drugs from his mother for escape. He contemplates suicide. His high school is known for its superior music program, and though Sid has memorized dozens of Rock and Blues songs he is too insecure to sing publicly. Reilley, a Christian classmate, shows kindness to him but Sid resists. On the night Sid is planning to overdose, Reilley feels a sense of urgency to call him. They talk for hours. He sings for her and she insists he audition for the school's Jazz choir. The music teachers recognize his talent and he soon becomes the school's 'vocal hero', vaulting him into sudden popularity. Jake, Sid's mom's new boyfriend, has a theatre background and works with him to improve his performances. Sid begins his quick rise to the top, but it comes at a price.

Brutally honest and heartbreakingly candid, I expose my deepest secret, I expose what it took to survive, I expose the truth.

Inspired by more of the recent events involving sexual harassment of women and trauma that women face on a daily basis. It takes a woman so much strength and motivation to live her life as she normally would but what is worse is that she feels that she must conform to each and everything that she is told she must be. No one, male or woman, should ever be told what they should or should not be. Therefore, the person is afraid to act out of the normative manner.
