Melissa finds out something about herself that causes a drift in her and her husband, Blake's relationship. When he leaves for Los Angeles while she's out, she's stuck by herself. Or so she thinks. - Chris has been the only parent figure in his daughter's life since she was born. When he gets a role in the CW's Supergirl, he meets Melissa and immediately wants to get to know her. She ends up trusting him more than he thought she would. - Being together has its strengths and weaknesses and Chris struggles with loving Melissa and finding time for just her as they barely get any alone time together.

If Melissa and Chris's love for each other is meant to be, would their lives together be the same if they weren't actors?

The Wood family runs a clinic for women with ptsd following sexual harassment/ assault, and rape, in memory of their daughter, Ella, who sadly passed away at the young age of fourteen following a fatal sexual assault. Chris is the son, and only surviving child of Julie and Grant Wood. He has a degree in pschycology. and specializes in sexual violence cases, honoring his little sister in a promise he made to her at only seventeen years old when she was on her deathbed. Melissa Benoist was raped and left on the street to die when she was found by the authorities.
