He couldn't comprehend what was happening; why it was happening. He only knew he couldn't let her go without an answer. With that in mind he took hold of her wrist and spun her to face him. Gazing down into her vibrant brown eyes his breath hitched. Just hours ago they were filled with excitement and wonder, all things happiness yet now the only thing he could read was regret. "Was it that bad?" His voice wavered as his fingers tucked a stray curl from her bun behind her ear. She moved her head abruptly to evade his lingering touch taking a step closer to the door to keep some distance. "I'm sorry but I don't feel the same. This was a mistake, I have to go." She breathed feeling fresh tears prick her eyes. Before he had a chance to say anything she reached behind her opening the door as she let her eyes study him. His facial features were coated in a mix of emotions the only one she cared to take notice of was pain, and she knew she was the cause of it. She took note of how his jeans hang below his hips undone as his chest heaved from chasing her realizing this might be the last time she would see him. She thought of the moments they spent in each other's arms trying to give herself a second chance to change her mind but she just didn't feel the same. "Take care." Was the last thing he heard before she walked out letting the wind slam the door on his broken heart.
