It had nearly been ten years. Ten years without Derek. Ten years without her husband. Ten years without her true love. Meredith, recently settled in to her new house in Boston with her three kids, she finds herself missing her deceased husband now more than ever. But not is all that it seems. Meredith starts receiving stranges messages and contact from the government, making her realize that Derek's death was not all that it seemed. With the help of some old friends Meredith realizes she needs to find the truth before the time runs out.

As Meredith fades in and out of consciousness in the aftermath of her attack,(12x09) Derek visits her in her dreams. Will be multi chapter.

So this is based on the what if episode in 8x13 and its basically about how their lives would turn out if that episode would continue. It's of course focused on merder but also about all the other characters (MAGIC, Addi, Mark, Richard and Ellis, Lexi, Bailey...) Mer and Derek will not get together right away and maybe even be a lot of complications etc at first. Just be patient cause eventually they will get their happy ending. Just read to find out. This is also my first story so please let me know if you like it and write in the comments if you have some ideas. I'm also from Germany so I'm sorry if I make some spelling mistakes. An unexpected phone call turns Meredith's life upside down. Involuntarily she returns to Seattle, leaving behind a life and a thriving career only to be caught up in the bureaucracy of having spent years abroad. Secretly trapped as an intern she tries to flip her life back around if only a dark-haired blue-eyed neurosurgeon would stop being so interested in her.

The plane crash episode always pissed me off so I'm just re-writing it the way I would have preferred things to go. :)
