Once you meet your soulmate you can feel each other's physical pain above a certain threshold. Which means that while Meredith is oblivious, Addison is well aware who her soulmate is. But Meredith was happy. Who was she to take that away? (Somewhat based off of GA 12x9, with light mentions of 2x17, 3x4&16, 6x23-24, 8x24, and 9x24.) Also during the plane crash they did all get hurt and Arizona did end up without her leg however no one died. Mark, Lexie, and Derek, are all alive. (Background ships requested Calzona, Teddstina, and McBros)

The Story Wherein Meredith Grey has a daughter named Ellis from her previous husband. She focused on being chief and focuses on her work, not looking for love. But Addison suddenly comes along. Addison waits for her to become ready since she had a traumatic experience with her previous husband.
