Summer, 1979. Fourteen-year-old Matthew "Matty Chain" Gennaro wants respect, a family, and a place to belong. He finds all three in the La Mirada Punks, a street gang fighting for territory in the rapidly changing neighborhoods of Southeast Los Angeles. Over the next five years, Matty rises from a frightened kid carrying a pocketknife to one of the most feared soldiers in the gang. As rival crews, police crackdowns, and the city's exploding punk and metal scenes collide around him, every act of violence pushes him further from the life he once imagined. By the summer of 1984, Los Angeles is preparing to welcome the world for the Olympic Games. The streets are being cleaned up. The police are tightening their grip. Friends are disappearing into graves and prison cells. For the first time in his life, Matty sees a way out. But the streets aren't finished with him yet. Set against the backdrop of gang wars, punk rock, heavy metal, and the changing face of Los Angeles, "La Mirada Blues" is a story about loyalty, violence, friendship, and the price of growing up too fast.

The story follows Dr. Robonick and Zendaya Hartz, who share a poignant connection marked by a ten-year age difference. Growing up together in the same orphanage, they formed a bond that was nurtured during their time at G.U.N., where Dr. Robonick crafted gadgets for Zendaya's missions. In their youth, Zendaya harbored a sweet crush on him, but he viewed her as a younger sister and his closest friend. When fate brought them together again at a government agency, feelings blossomed into love, leading them to marriage. However, a few years later, Zendaya uncovered troubling information about her organization, which was deeply rooted in corruption. As she prepared to expose them, she was sent on a dangerous mission with no chance of survival. Devastated by her sudden disappearance, Dr. Robonick discovered that the organization he aimed to expose had not only taken her away from him but also erased all memories of her from his mind, ultimately transforming him into the malevolent figure he would become. This heartbreaking journey captures the depths of their love and the tragic consequences of betrayal.

KILL THE CROWN The background is a dangerous place to hide. Amethyst is a "background" soul in a foreground world. A bartender by trade and a bassist by necessity, she's spent years playing in the shadow of her manipulative ex-boyfriend, Ricky, in a local scene that treats her like part of the furniture. Then came Jackie Martin. The legendary, disgraced drummer of Blood Oath doesn't do "background." He's radioactive, he's arrogant, and he's looking for a specific sound-a "clank" that only Amethyst can provide. When they lock in together in a sweltering Georgia storage unit, they don't just find a rhythm; they start a riot. The Engine. The Earth. The Sky. Joined by Devin, a stoic Choctaw diesel mechanic with a jagged seven-string riff, and the Janson brothers-Michael, a voice that can crack the sky, and Rusty, a protective gatekeeper with a lead guitar like a saw blade-the line-up is complete. They are the outcasts. The "has-beens." The "never-weres." Together, they are Kill the Crown. As the tension between Amethyst and Jackie builds into a high-voltage slow burn, the band prepares for a collision course with their pasts. From the red clay of Talbot County to the neon lights of the Warehouse, they have one mission: topple the corporate kings of the music industry and prove that the loudest voices are the ones that have been silenced the longest. The stage is set. The fuse is lit. It's time to take the throne.
