BEFORE ANYTHING! I wanna tell you: before anyone says that this kind of fanfiction of irl ppl isn't popoular for a reason, think about all the other fanfics you've probably read. This is at the same level of all of those, I just wanted to create the fanfic I always looked for, just like you, get it? This is my first fanfiction btw!! I hope y'all like it :) I've put some experiences of mine in this one and english isn't my first language, you'll probably see :D if you'd be courious to see this in ky native language (Italian), let me know :) ! So, in this AU, set between 1983-84, Lars is FTM and is out only to James, his closest friend, but if it wasn't for him, he would be second only to Kirk. And Kirk will be the one to confess his feelings to Lars, who will feel "forced" to tell him about his identity before Kirk wants to do anything... freaky, yk? That's actually the plot of the first chapetrs, so there will be more :D!!! It's also going to be a story of growth, from all the 4 band members

When Lars Ulrich first moved to America, he was given a few small cardboard-bound journals his mother made to document his teenage life there. When he got them, he wrote in them every day he could and did this from 1980 up to until 1989, when the journal pages ran out completely. Now, in 1991, James was going through some of Lars' stuff and found them, then began reading them. Soon enough, he found himself swallowed by the entries, not being able to put each journal down when he read them.

Finally out at the concert you've been dreaming of with your girlfriend and friends, there's not much that could go wrong. Being a fan girl getting tickets up close to the main stage was perfect for you. You're finally watching the one(s) you love with the ones you love. Nothing can go wrong, until you wake up locked in a room face to face with the man of your dreams. (this is a total joke have fun!)

A lot of things happen in the infamous Pentridge Correctional Centre. The top dog, James, who is in on the count of murder, is seen as tough, loyal and, when he wants to be, cold. His life soon changes when he meets a shy, timid man named Lars, who is charged with manslaughter. James quickly develops feelings for the newcomer that he has to conceal in order to keep his position as top dog, as homosexuality is strongly looked down upon by the other inmates. How will he cope with these feelings? And how will Lars survive on the inside? (WARNING: Contains violence.)

A kid from Chicago makes his way to LA after moving out there to search for a career in music. He meets with the daughter of one of his idols: James Hetfield, lead singer and guitarist of the legendary Metallica.
