Issues from depression, to partying, to huge scandals are all things you'd expect to see from teens that get placed there for the summer. It looks to be a boring summer for the likes of Jonas, Rosalie, Charlie, Emma, and the other kids that are at camp, but everything changes when a meteor strikes the earth directly where they're spending their summer. Suddenly the teens start to develop powers and are being hunted down by the government for obtaining them. How will the kids survive their summer at Camp Pinecove? What's the meteor all about, and how did the government know where to find it? And when push comes to shove, are people that are completely different able to come together for the common good?

They have excluded themselves from the world in order to protect it. Their families believe they've died terribly. They are survivors of the worst natural disaster in history and the effects of it are unbelievable. This is their story.
