A poem for girls like me, who were taken by force.

Chères amies, chers amis, A la vue des différents événements qui agitent notre actualité, #MeToo, #BalanceTonPorc, et de l'essor des comptes féministes, je me propose ici de vous livrer mon interprétation de mouvement de pensée. Bien que je sois homme, cela ne m'empêche pas de prendre ma plume pour défendre la femme. Et c'est justement là ce que je considère être l'avenir du féminisme : un combat de tous, pour tous. Ainsi, nous nous devons de voir - et de combattre - les inégalités dont souffrent les femmes, mais aussi reconnaître les conditionnements, dont sont victimes les hommes, et dont ils sont victimes. C'est donc dans un esprit d'ouverture et de bienveillance que je vous invite à pénétrer dans mon esprit, et à débattre d'un des plus grands enjeux de notre époque.

Seventeen-year-old Samantha Leyton is hiding in the shadows. Her mother dismisses her black bedroom, dyed hair, and angry artwork. Her ex-boyfriend, Brad doesn't understand why she refuses his advances and why she won't date. She wasn't always so angry. She used to paint in color. Now, her artwork is dark and her nightmares are of the rape she's been hiding from everyone. But pushing people away is safe. In fact, she's good at it. Then, Charlie Cartwright resurfaces from her past and notices that the girl he used to know has completely changed. His family is in danger, but he still demands to know what happened to the girl he used to know. When Brad finds out Charlie and Samantha are more than friends, he is angry and will stop at nothing to get her back. All three lives hang in the balance when Samantha comes face-to-face with her rapist. Nothing will ever be the same again.
