Thus sparks an adventure that will take Link across the land of Hyrule to protect his home and cast away the darkness that consumes it. I can see him slipping... I see it in his eyes. It's getting to him, I just know it. Every time he kills another one, he acts like it doesn't hurt him, but I know it does. I know him better than he thinks. I love him more than he knows. I heard him crying when he thought that the whole world was asleep. I could never tell him the truth. Last adventure, Midna and Link barely survived with their lives, clinging onto each other in hopes that the Goddesses would not rip them apart again. They've won...but at what cost? So many lives were lost, all to save the realms from a timeless evil they should have foreseen. One of those lives, the fair princess of the light realm, murdered for what? Her blood stains the hero's hands. He's traded so much for peace, can't Ganondorf just be gone once and for all?! Maybe he is... That doesn't explain why the Master Sword won't rest, unless it has simply grown too fond of Link to leave him. Do the realms still need the hero's protection from evil? Story under editing and hiatus. Rated PG-13 for violence and language. It has been four years since Ganondorf and his darkness were defeated, and Midna returned to the Twilight, breaking the mirror as she went. Time has gone by, but memories and yesterdays still haunt Link and Midna. However, fate has brought them together again, this time to battle a new force in the Twilight that will stop at nothing to take over both of their worlds.

The long journey that she and Link had faced together had come to an end. When it is time to return to her own world, she says her goodbyes, then makes a decision for the good of both worlds. "I... I'll see you later" she says as she returns to the Twilight, breaking the only connection between worlds, the Mirror of Twilight.

Midna left the world of light alone, to resolve everything after the battle. In the twilight realm, she has to clean up the mess Zant made. She has to clear her name with the twili people, restore balance, repair damage, and make the twili have faith in her leadership. But, she feels empty. Like there is something else that needs to be done. Meanwhile, a new kind of evil arises, greater than ever. Will Midna fight it alone, sacrificing the one and only thing the twili have to believe in? Or will she summon her allies for a greater adventure yet?
