I wrote this for the #MidnightSunMovie contest but I had fun with it.

Jack throws a wild house party at his house. But amongst the alcohol and music, he spots a girl isolated in the corner. He tries to reach out, to talk to her, but the party is filled with swirling faces, and he wonders if he'll reach her before sunrise...

You had to write a 500-word story about young love blossoming over the course of one night. NOT AN EASY TASK! But the theme of the contest and the challenge of trying to pack as much story as possible into 500 words intrigued me. So, I gave it a go! I'm nervous about how this turned out, but I'd love to know what you think! And please vote if you like it! :-)

Ella had been diagnosed with a rare form of hybrid leukemia.
